Satendra, a 38-year-old resident of Madhopur village in Khutar, who had tortured his wife and daughter and driven them from their home, ensnared a 16-year-old minor in his love trap. Six days ago, the accused abducted her from her home. They then married her at a religious site in Gola.
He wanted to take her out of the district, but on Thursday, police arrested him at the Jewan Bridge. The minor, found dressed as a bride, was sent to a One Stop Center. The accused has been charged with the POCSO Act and sent to jail.A resident of a village in the area filed an FIR against combine helper Satendra on May 10. He stated that on May 9, Satendra lured his minor daughter and abducted her. When police arrived, the accused’s house was locked. A search has been underway since.
The accused was arrested with the minor near the Jewan Bridge on Thursday afternoon. Satendra explained that he was a helper on a combine. About a year ago, he went to work in the girl’s village, where he met her. As they grew closer, they started talking on the mobile phone.
After kidnapping her on May 9th, they married at a religious site in the Gola area. To avoid the police, he took her to various locations. The accused had a dispute with his wife three years ago. He argues with other family members on a daily basis.
Due to the conflict, the wife lives separately with their only daughter. Sub-Inspector Gaurav Chaudhary said that the accused has been sent to jail. The teenager has been sent to the One Stop Center. Her statement will be recorded on Friday. Her family has been informed. Further decisions will be made at the court level.
