Correspondent, Tilhar: With the construction of a bridge over the Garra River in Rehra village, approximately 250 villages in Shahjahanpur and Pilibhit will be connected. This will provide direct connectivity to approximately three lakh people. Along with ease of transportation, communication will also remain secure during floods.
The bridge, to be built at a cost of Rs 52 crore, will be constructed by the Bridge Corporation. A deadline of three years has been set for completion.

Approximately two villages in the Meeranpur Katra area are affected by floods in the Devha Garra River. On the other side of the river is Pilibhit district, where more than 50 villages are cut off when the water level rises. This causes significant transportation difficulties for these villages and the approximately 250,000 people in the surrounding area. There has been a long-standing demand for a bridge over the river.
