A deadline of three years has been set for completion. Bridge Corporation will build the bridge at a cost of Rs 52 crore. Approximately two villages in the Meeranpur Katra area are affected by floods in the Devha Garra River. On the other side of the river is Pilibhit district, where more than 50 villages are cut off when the water level rises. This causes significant transportation difficulties for these villages and the approximately 250,000 people in the surrounding area. There has been a long-standing demand for a bridge over the river.
