The Puwaiyan police in Shahjahanpur arrested a wanted accused and produced him in court, where he was sent to jail. This action was taken under a recovery warrant issued by the Chief Justice of the Family Court, Pilibhit. Police detained Munendra Kumar, son of Sant Kumar, a resident of Jeva village, Puwaiyan police station, in connection with a recovery warrant case related to the Dayuria police station in Pilibhit district. Showing the recovery warrant, he was asked to deposit Rs 3 lakh 20 thousand, but the accused refused to deposit any amount. After refusing to pay the money, the accused was arrested and presented before the court. The court remanded him in judicial custody. The team that arrested the accused included Sub-Inspector Dharmendra Kumar and Head Constable Dhirendra Kumar.

Shahjahanpur’s Jalalabad MLA, Hariprakash Verma, conducted a surprise inspection of the Rampur Dhakadadi Bridge under construction in the Mirzapur area. The inspection took place despite a drizzle, and the MLA, under an umbrella, inspected the construction work. During the inspection, the MLA expressed his displeasure with the slow pace of work. He instructed the officials present on the spot to complete the remaining work on the bridge within a month. MLA Verma described the bridge as a “lifeline” for the region. He said that this would be the first time since independence that the people of the region would have easy access during the rainy season. His goal is to have traffic on the bridge open before the first heavy monsoon rains, freeing the villagers from waterlogging and muddy roads. The MLA warned officials to ensure quality work is completed within the stipulated timeframe. He made it clear that any negligence in development work would not be tolerated. Local villagers and departmental employees were also present during the meeting.

Based on a complaint filed by Muneshwar Dayal Katheria, a farmer union leader in Sidhauli, Shahjahanpur, a case has been registered against two named individuals and one unidentified person. Katheria has made serious allegations against some people from the village of Dhakiya Hamidnagar. In a police complaint, Muneshwar Dayal Katheria stated that on April 1, he and organization worker Sukhbant Singh attended a panchayat in Dhakiya Hamidnagar village. Initially, discussions were peaceful, and many villagers were present. It is alleged that during this time, village residents Chanchal Kumar Mishra, Abhishek Mishra, and another relative suddenly became aggressive. They used casteist slurs and verbally abused them. The accused also allegedly threatened to kill them and threatened to shoot them if they were seen in the village again. This incident created a tense atmosphere in the Panchayat and created panic among the people present. Katheria says this public indecency and intimidation has damaged his social standing and caused him mental trauma. He has demanded that the police take strict legal action against the accused. Kotwal Ravindra Singh stated that a case has been registered under relevant sections based on Muneshwar Dayal Katheria’s complaint. The police are investigating the matter and further legal action will be taken based on the evidence. He also stated that strict action will be taken against those attempting to disrupt law and order.
